Put on your best creative thinking cap and design a children's library card for the McKinney Public Library. All ages are welcome to enter. 

The contest is available September 1-30. Winning Designs will be announced in November and will be printed and distributed by the McKinney Public Library System.

Contest Rules

  • Design a children’s library card within a 3.375” wide x 2.125” high rectangle 
  • Theme: What the Library Means to Me
  • Design must include: McKinney Public Library System
  • One entry per person
  • Submit entries online. To be accepted, images must be JPG, high-res and 300 dpi (1,013 pixels wide x 638 pixels high)
  • Winners will be announced in November
  • The entry must be the artist’s sole and original work and cannot include, be based on, or be derived from, any third-party design, clip-art, trademarked or copyrighted image.
  • All entries become the property of the City of McKinney and by submitting an entry the artist agrees that he or she has no other interest, right or copyright / trademark claim related to the submission; the artist, however, may retain a limited revocable license to the entry to use or display the logo as part of the artist’s professional portfolio. The artist agrees that the entry may be used in any manner the city chooses, including but not limited to use on the city’s website or promotional materials, regardless of format or medium.
  • Winning entries will be printed and distributed by the McKinney Public Library System
  • We reserve the right to alter winning designs to add details such as logo, etc.
