Caring for Parks

The new McKinney Adopt-A-Park program is a joint effort between the city's Environmental Education Department and the Parks and Recreation Department. Its purpose is to reduce litter and save operational costs by partnering with community groups to clean up city parks. The city provides materials for the groups, including gloves for adults and children, trash bags and recycle bags. First-aid supplies are given in a kit for each organization. Medical Center of McKinney donates the first-aid supplies.

Show your community spirit and help keep our parks clean and beautiful. When volunteers provide basic cleanup for McKinney parks, the park crews can take care of more time-consuming tasks, saving tax dollars and maximizing our beautiful parks.

Thank you to all of the organizations that help us with the Adopt-A-Park program. Your feedback about the condition of the park is very important to us. Please take a few minutes to complete an online survey every month. We appreciate your commitment to the environment.
