Morning Maniacs Show & ShineMorning Maniacs
  • When: Every first Saturday of the month 7:30-10:30 a.m.
  • Where: Historic Downtown McKinney

McKinney Main Street proudly welcomes local classic car and truck enthusiast group, the Morning Maniacs, to Historic Downtown McKinney. The Morning Maniacs host a show and shine the first Saturday of each month from 7:30-10:30 a.m. Please make a point to come and check out these amazing cars and trucks, enjoy some breakfast and maybe a little shopping too. 

Second Saturdays Second Saturdays
  • When: Every second Saturday of the month 7-10 p.m.
  • Where: Historic Downtown McKinney

The community and beyond enjoy an evening of art, music, food and spirits every second Saturday in Downtown McKinney. Guests can explore local art galleries, listen to great local and regional talent and taste specialties in some of the area's best eateries. Many establishments in Downtown McKinney will keep their doors open from 7-10 p.m.

Bike the Bricks Bike the Bricks2013
  • When: Friday, May 24, 2013, 4-11 p.m.
  • Where: Historic Downtown McKinney

McKinney Main Street is proud to announce the fourth annual Bike the Bricks closed-course crit bike race in Historic Downtown McKinney. Bike the Bricks delivers a nail-biting and interactive event that draws increased exposure not only to health and wellness but also highlights our one-of-a-kind Historic Downtown. The event will include interval races along with activities, live entertainment, food and drink. The climax of the event will draw in racers from across the state and beyond as these cyclists square off and chase a $20,000 purse.

McKinney Oktoberfest 2013 Oktoberfest

McKinney meets Bavaria Sept. 27-28, 2013! Drawing on the colorful tradition that began in Munich, Germany, in 1810, McKinney Oktoberfest represents many things to many people. We celebrate our diversity with a cultural event that reflects the many contributions of German immigrants who settled in Texas. We enjoy a fun, family-friendly event that offers authentic German music, food and drink, traditional costumes, dancing, children's activities and much more.

2013 Wish 100 McKinney Wish 100
  • When: Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013 
  • Where: Historic Downtown McKinney

The Make-A-Wish Foundation® of North Texas in partnership with the City of McKinney, McKinney Velo and Matrix Cycling is proud to announce the 5th annual Wish 100. This 60-mile ride through McKinney and surrounding communities once again brings cycling enthusiasts from North Texas together to raise funds to help make wishes come true for children battling life-threatening medical conditions.

McKinney's annual Scare on the Square has grown to hundreds of trick-or-treaters enjoying hayrides, treats and a safe, secure family-fun Halloween event. Historic Downtown is closed off for trick-or-treaters to cross the street safely and go shop-to-shop for goodies. Bring your little goblins and join us for Scare on the Square!

33rd Annual Dickens of a Christmas Dickens of a Christmas
Thanksgiving Weekend

  • Where: Historic Downtown McKinney

The 33rd annual Dickens of a Christmas is Downtown McKinney’s premier festival. The event has an old fashioned, Victorian Christmas atmosphere with horse-drawn carriages, traveling carolers, visits with Santa Claus, a Christmas-tree-lighting ceremony and activities for all ages. You can also finish all that holiday shopping in one place with more than 100 boutiques, art galleries, bookstores, and apparel, gift and antique shops.

12th Annual Krewe of Barkus: Barkus Goes Back in Time Krewe of Barkus
Sunday before Mardi Gras
  • When: Sunday, Mar. 2, 2014, 12:30-4 p.m.
  • Where: Mitchell Park in Historic Downtown McKinney

Dress your four-legged friend as your favorite decade and head to Historic Downtown McKinney for an afternoon of Mardi Gras fun. The event is patterned after the legendary Mystic Krewe of Barkus in New Orleans, which was established to help abused and abandoned canines. Historic Downtown McKinney calls in all dogs and dog lovers for a dog parade, costume contest, canine training, exercise demonstrations and much more.

Arts in Bloom 2014 Arts in Bloom

  • Where: Historic Downtown McKinney

Local and regional artists come out to play in downtown McKinney. We invite you to experience art in all forms as creative fortes blossom throughout the Historic District. This all-day event is a perfect opportunity to experience the magic of McKinney's historic shopping district during the spring season with art, music, food and much, much more.
