You may notice that there are very few open positions at this time or one that you have recently applied for is no longer posted. Like many organizations, the City of McKinney is looking for ways to save in response to the downturn in the economy. As a result, the City is implementing several temporary measures to help balance our budget, including freezing or delaying the hiring of many of the newly budgeted and vacant positions. As we continue to evaluate our budget, we will determine which positions are critical to post and hire for, in the best in interest of the citizens.
