How to do Business with the City of McKinney

As a local government, McKinney encourages competition among potential vendors to obtain quality goods and services at the best prices available to maximize tax dollars invested by the residents and businesses of McKinney.

By resolution, the City of McKinney supports local vendor participation in bidding for contracts with the City. All bid packets include the The Consideration of Location of Bidder's Principal Place of Business form. The form must be completed and submitted with your bid package if you wish to be considered a local vendor.

The City of McKinney Purchasing Department is pleased to announce our new online bidding system.* This marketplace initiative is part of our quest to improve procurement processes and interaction with our vendors. One successful method of reducing costs is transitioning traditional paper business processes to electronic processes facilitated via the internet. Vendors pay NO FEES for utilizing our new online bidding system.

All vendors, whether a current business partner or a new company, who are interested in receiving notification of bid opportunities from the City of McKinney are encouraged to register for bids and proposals using the City of McKinney Electronic Procurement System (EPS). This website will also display current bid opportunities, awarded bid information, and FAQs. Our online marketplace for eProcurement will greatly reduce the cost of supplies and distribution while increasing speed and accuracy of the public bid process.

Registration by vendors is encouraged to ensure access to current and upcoming opportunities.
